Answer

  • It is a fixed, non-moving cylindrical device manufactured in brass that inserts into your vehicle's intake manifold.
  • The Liberator Fuel Saver induces controlled turbulence in the intake air, creating what we like to call SWUMBLE, a combination of tumble and swirl of the airflow. This patented SWUMBLE process pushes air through the engine at a higher velocity, much like a vacuum, creating greater engine combustion, better fuel economy, and lower emissions.
  • Typically, users have reported a 1-2 mpg gain in city driving, and experienced 2-4 mpg gain in highway driving.
  • The Liberator Fuel Saver will last the lifetime of the car. Period. It is made of solid brass and has no moving parts. It will not deteriorate over time, nor will it ever need to be cleaned. Install it and forget it. The only time you will be reminded that it in your car will be whenever you see the savings in your fuel bill.
  • Installation is simple and fast for anyone, provided you have a basic tools and minimal mechanical knowledge. For throttle body engines, it installs behind the throttle blade inside the air intake. Installation requires a screwdriver to remove the air hose, a ratchet and a couple of sockets to remove the bolts on the manifold. Remove your car's gasket if it has one and simply place it inside the intake, and replace the original gasket if your vehicle is factory equipped with a plastic gasket, or use the enclosed new gasket if your vehicle was factory equipped with paper gaskets. Reattach the throttle body and air hose. The entire process takes approximately 10-20 minutes depending on vehicle make and model. See our Installation Instructions link to watch a Liberator Fuel Saver installation or to read detailed instructions.
  • It is imperative that you have proper sealing of the throttle body in order to achieve quality results. If the throttle body does not seal back properly, you will experience poor idling, engine choking, and decreased fuel mileage. If a paper gasket was included with your order, please make sure you use the gasket during installation. If your vehicle came factory equipped with a plastic gasket, please reuse it during installation if it appears to be in good condition. Sometimes, factory equipped plastic gaskets wear over time, if you see wear and tear on your factory equipped plastic gasket, please replace with a new one. Once the throttle is completely sealed, you should experience quality performance from your new Liberator Fuel Saver.
  • No. The law states a car manufacturer cannot void a warranty just because an aftermarket part has been installed. The aftermarket part consumer is protected from being wrongfully denied warranty coverage by the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act - Federal Trade Commission Improvement Act of 1975. By the power of this Act, your warranty cannot be automatically voided because an aftermarket part is installed, unless your warranty clearly states it will be voided if any aftermarket parts are installed, or it can be proven that the aftermarket device is the direct cause of the mechanical failure. The Liberator Fuel Saver is made from one piece of solid brass, with no moving parts. Once properly installed, it cannot move, as it is perfectly fitted into each vehicle type's intake manifold. Thus, a properly installed Liberator Fuel Saver cannot damage your engine.

  • Yes. There a few engine types that require multiple units. Our Liberator Fuel Saver Selector tool will let you know if your particular vehicle will need multiple units.
  • It won't! The Liberator Fuel Saver sits behind your vehicles' mass airflow sensor. And, that is a great thing! If the device sat in front of the mass airflow sensor, the effects of the Liberator Fuel Saver would be negated. Many fuel economy devices on the market today do not work for that very reason.
  • Resetting your vehicle's computer system is not necessary, but sometimes does prove beneficial depending on engine type. For that reason and for safety concerns, we recommend disconnecting your car's battery during installation of the Liberator Fuel Saver, and any time you perform maintenance on your vehicle. NOTE: If your radio has a factory code, make sure you have it before disconnecting the battery.
